Life size origami from yours truly.
Today’s Google Doodle celebrates the Birthday of Akira Yoshizawa (1911 - 2005). The grandmaster of origami. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akira_Yoshizawa
Personally, I think they could have done a little more with it. What do you think?
I made these today - with some paper I’ve had for a long time. I bought it from Shepherds Falkiners in London. I recommend a visit. Its the best paper shop ever…
I came across this beautiful project recently.

http://www.onethousandcranesforjapan.com/
It is a collective project that aims to raise money for the victims of the Tsunami in Japan. They have commissioned some great artists to design origami paper. You choose an artist that you like - download the PDF design and instructions, donate money to the charity and then make the crane.
The website is beautifully designed. It is a simple concept done really well. I urge you to visit, donate, download and make a crane or two.
Here are the ones I made.
